The Dublin High School spirit programs are hitting their stride at the perfect time. Following a weekend of elite competition, the Hip Hop team secured another first-place finish, while the Dance team “leveled up” to take home a hard-earned second-place trophy.

The victories come on the heels of a high-pressure week of rehearsals. After their first outing of the season last weekend, coaches and performers implemented a series of major structural changes to both routines. The risk paid off, as both squads saw significant score increases despite competing against a larger and more difficult field of opponents.

“I am so incredibly proud,” said the teams’ coach. “They worked incredibly hard this week to master the changes we made. They stepped it up in a way that makes me so proud to be their coach.”

Next Stop: Nationals

With these regional victories under their belts, both teams have officially set their sights on the National Championships.

The Dublin community is invited to a special Nationals Send-Off Show to see these award-winning routines in person before the teams travel to compete on the grandest stage.

• What: A showcase of the Hip Hop and Dance routines heading to Nationals.
