Dublin Baseball Caps Off Stellar 2026 Season with Historic Playoff Run
With the final pitches thrown and the dust settling on the 2026 high school baseball season, the Dublin Gaels have plenty of reasons to hold their heads high. It was a campaign defined by grit, explosive offense, and a relentless competitive drive that solidified Dublin’s status as a perennial powerhouse in the East Bay.
Charging to Second in the EBAL – Valley
The Gaels put together a dominant run through league play, battling their way to an impressive 5-3 league record (17-8 overall) to secure 2nd place in the ultra-competitive East Bay – Valley League standings.
Dublin’s high-octane offense was a problem for opposing pitchers all year, racking up a staggering 146 total runs over the course of the season. Whether it was clutch late-inning rallies or explosive early leads, the Gaels consistently found ways to put pressure on the opposition and secure crucial victories when it mattered most.

Six Straight Years of NCS D1 Excellence
Securing a silver finish in the league wasn’t the only major milestone for this squad. By earning their spot in the post-season, Dublin officially punched its ticket to the CIF North Coast Section (NCS) Division 1 Championships for an incredible sixth consecutive year.
Consistently reaching the D1 playoffs—the highest and most grueling tier of competition in the section—is a testament to the culture, coaching, and talent built within the Dublin program. Making it six years in a row is a rare feat that cements this senior class’s legacy and raises the bar for the underclassmen waiting in the wings.
Postseason Grit: The First Round Clash
Entering the 2026 NCS Division 1 bracket as the No. 15 seed, the Gaels drew a challenging first-round matchup on May 19 against the powerhouse, No. 2-seeded Clayton Valley Charter.
Playing on the road, Dublin refused to back down against one of the top teams in the section. The Gaels went toe-to-toe with the Ugly Eagles, showcasing the same defensive resilience and competitive spirit that defined their entire regular season. Though Dublin ultimately fell short in a hard-fought 6-3 battle, they proved they belonged on the big stage, pushing a team that would ultimately march all the way to the NCS Semifinals.
Looking Ahead
While the playoff loss brought the inevitable sting of the end, the 2026 Gaels left everything on the diamond. From the explosive bats to the steady senior leadership, this team gave the Dublin community a spectacular season to remember.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on another unforgettable year of Gaels baseball. The foundation remains rock solid, and the hunt for next year’s banner begins now.
Go Gaels!
